To understand the DNA of the Design Station, we need to go back to where it started:

It was initially a student project workshop at ENSCI at CEA Grenoble, which in 2014 became the Alps Design Lab, an open laboratory for innovation by design, led and animated by a collective of experienced designers.

In 2017, Design Station was born out of the management team’s desire to optimise the management of this open lab and multiply its impact by creating numerous design innovation workshop programs within CEA focused on external partnerships.

In 2019, Design Station will leave the CEA to spread its wings. Inspired by the scientific environment, Design Station has decided to extend its experience of the rational and systematic approach implemented by the Alps Design Lab to the corporate world.s.

Today, our core team of experienced designers is surrounded by young talent who bring a fresh perspective to our approach.

After a chosen period of dormancy following the health crisis, Design Station rethought its strategy and opted for a fully remote organisation. All our associates collaborators are independent and pursue their own activities in parallel.
